How to fill a PDF table with EasyPDF
Upload the table document
Open the PDF from your computer. Start with the original file so you can compare the table borders and text positions.
Click the cell you want to fill
In Edit text, click a detected blank table cell. Type the entry in its bounded writing area. Tab moves between detected cells; Shift+Tab moves back.
Adjust the entry to fit
Use the text formatting controls for font, size and alignment. Long entries wrap within the available area. Check that the text fits the row rather than extending over a border.
Save and inspect the exported file
Click Save changes when the entries are ready. If an entry cannot fit, read the error and revise it. Sign in to download, then check the table in the downloaded PDF.
Choose the right tool for the cell
Use Edit text for words or numbers. Use Forms > Check mark for a tick beside existing content. Use Table tools when you deliberately want to change the table structure, such as adding a row or changing row height.
Keep the original table lines
Normal text entry is intended to preserve the printed table rules. Avoid Erase area when filling a cell: that tool removes content inside the selected region. If you intentionally remove a border, use Undo before continuing.
Why a cell can be full
PDF pages have fixed geometry. A short row cannot hold unlimited text at a large size. Shorten the entry, reduce font size or line spacing, or increase row height with Table tools when changing the layout is acceptable.
Native text and scanned tables
PDFs exported from document software often contain editable text and vector table rules. A scanned table is a picture; detection and OCR can be less reliable. Exact fonts and complex merged-cell layouts are not guaranteed. Check the exported document against the original.
Common questions
Can I fill a table without changing its layout?
You can type into detected blank cells and keep entries inside the available space. Whether detection works depends on the PDF; review borders and alignment after saving.
Why does the original font sometimes lack a character?
Some PDFs embed only the characters already used in the document. New characters may need a replacement font. Choose a supported font if the editor reports that the original font lacks the character.
Does every cell save automatically?
Text edits remain drafts until you click Save changes. Moving to another cell lets you continue editing without saving each entry separately.
